 The Next step is the Hardest Thing to do. Now that you have set yourself up, determined which funds to use and moved your funds to a home base How did I figure out where to put my funds? I have gone to financial schools, financial seminars, and real state classes and called so many of the big financial institutions. No one will tell you the best places to put your funds. However, do not just take my word for it. Try this yourself and see what I mean. The reason everybody gives, is that they did not want to be held libel if they gave you the wrong info and you lose all your money. This was very frustrating to me since I did not want to lose any of my hard earned money to the wrong funds either! We should all know by now that social security, your pension (if you get one from your company) or a government bailout for individuals are not going to be the bright future we all dream about when we retire. Therefore, through consistent effort over the years, I have taught myself which funds work the best for me. As a result, I have been so successful that when the market turns up or down, I have either saved my money or made a lot, simply by managing my account! I have showed my friends how I did this; everyone liked the amounts of money that they made. They all cannot believe that, with this simple approach to making your own managed account grow, more people are not managing their funds like this. My only answer is that nobody showed them how. Therefore, this is where the 401k coaching comes into play. Many self-managed accounts in retirement funds have many choices. You can spend a lot of time, as I did to find the correct funds. In addition, you might still not know the right one. I cannot tell you which funds, because (grin) I too, do not what to be held libel. HOWEVER, as your 401k coach, I can give you the basic funds that I use that I have found worked for me. Since not all managed 401k funds are the same, all you have to do is research, which one of your plans funds best match the ones I use..
