The Strategies that I use
When I started to search for the funds I would use, I needed to figure out a game plan. After going to all the classes and seminars, I realized I would need to have two strategies that I needed to use. These strategies would be aggressive and conservative. I will need to be able to keep track of their progress and differentiate when each strategy is appropriate. These strategies will come into play later, after you pick the correct funds. In my self-managed account, there are about 22 different choices. Not all self-managed funds are the same; the funds have different names and do different things. This is where you have to do your homework. Very important, I will not pick the funds for you. I will let you see my game plan so you can make your best decision for your own game plan.

1. I started looking for the aggressive funds first. I needed to be able to find a fund that I could watch. One that is easy to understand and it should correlate with something in the stock market. By the way, make sure you can locate aggressive funds. You do not put all your funds in one basket. If we were playing football, you would not pass or give the ball to only one player.

A. I use the fund that is called S&P 500 Equity Index Fund. I use this Aggressive fund.
B. I also have a Russell 2000 Index Fund. This is the second fund that I use, and it is an aggressive fund

2. Why I picked these aggressive funds for my account? Well, if you ever looked at any financial program on TV or on the net (such as Bloomberg, CNN). You will see the stock indices of the Dow, NASDAQ and the S&P 500. Now the S&P 500 is not the same as the fund in my account, but it correlates with it so I know what direction it is going during the day. I can keep an eye on my funds all day if I want, just by following the market. If you do not have these same named funds and you want to follow my game plan, you need to find the fund that correlates with the S&P 500. If you do not have these types of funds in your managed account then this game plan will not work for you.

3. Now for the safe conservative funds.I use these funds when I want my funds to be safe. These are easy to find because the interest is low. I need these because just like in football, if I am winning the game and do not want to lose I play conservatively. So maybe instead of passing I might run the ball so I do not get an interception or run out the clock.

A. In my self-managed account, I have the Government STIF. This is a very conservative fund.
B. I also have the Stable Value Fund, another very conservative fund.

4. Now you know the conservative funds that I use. Again, I do not want everything in one basket. When do I use them? I use them when I see another powerful team is taking all of my good plays and I know that there will be another game to play next week. I put the real team in a safe place such as conservative funds, and start making the game plan for another game.

5. I use these Strategies for my setup. If you think these ideas make sense and you want to help yourself brighten your financial future, then go to the login and registration page. Let us GET STARTED.
